ROADS API sessions, May 1998

Authored: May 1998 - technical issues regarding the development of the ROADS API were discussed in an open online IRC (Internet Relay Chat) forum, which consisted of heavy involvement by technical developers from SOSIG, OMNI, Biz/ed and ROADS. The API is the interface that sits between the basic body of ROADS software and

the cataloguing interface (otherwise known as the user, as in cataloguer, interface, or the template editor)
other external databases and applications, such as SQL databases

By providing "hooks" in the API, people can write software/modules that can use the ROADS software more easily.
